C Dream+ Vlogging Competition
To enrich students’ C Dream experience this summer, we launch a brand-new video contest, C Dream+ Vlogging Competition, from July 19th to August 23rd, 2021. With total prizes of $4,000, this event invites all Class of 21’ students to videotape their unique C Dream journey with smartphones/cameras and edit the clips into a creative 5-min short video to enter the competition. All participating students must form a team with their C Dream schoolmates, and each partnering school can have only one team. This competition is proudly sponsored by HuaPlus Inc.

2021 C Dream Masterclass by Doudou Huang
On the afternoon of July 24, 2021, more than 100 C Dream Class of 21 students gather on Zoom to meet the renowned Chinese dancer and choreographer, Doudou Huang, which kicks off this year’s C Dream Masterclass series. During this online event, Mr. Huang shared and talked about experience and challenges in the course of his dance career. All participating students are given the rare opportunity to demonstrate their dancing performance in front of Mr. Huang and received his comments and suggestions. Mr. Huang also held a Q &A session with students and parents, answering their questions on dance study and careers as well.

2021 C Dream Masterclass by Hengda Li
About a week into this year’s C Dream Class, we invite the famous Chinese American dance educator and C Dream advisor, Mr. Hengda Li, to host another Masterclass on Zoom with all Class of 21’ students and other local dance enthusiasts. This time, Mr. Li chose The Dream of the Golden Clowns, a successful Chinese acrobatic dance show he directed over a decade ago, as his lecture topic. Mr. Li talks about the background of this show, analyzes its aesthetic values, discusses how the crew combines traditional Chinese art with more western presentation style, and shares his opinion on audience engagement and successful marketing.
